Instructions for using colored egg shells to make a mosaic
picture.
Materials Needed:
Instructions:
Save the shells from your Easter eggs and use them to make a great mosaic
picture!
If you want, you can draw a design
on a dark piece of poster board using the crayons or markers.
Break the colored egg shells into
small enough pieces so that they are fairly flat.
Use a cotton swab or an old paint
brush to liberally spread glue onto your paper. Stick the egg shell pieces,
colored side up, onto the glue.
Spread the glue in small sections while you
work! Set your mosaic aside to dry completely.
(You can also use lighter colored
paper, but the dark paper really sets off the colors of the egg shells!)

Make
your own lip gloss using this recipe.
Materials Needed:
·
Paraffin wax
·
Coconut oil
·
Petroleum jelly
·
Candy melts (to
color the gloss and make it taste sweet)
·
Oil-based candy
flavoring (if you want a special flavor)
·
Grater
·
Wax paper
·
Ziploc bag
·
Small container (recycle
old makeup containers or 35mm film containers, or look in stores that carry
beads, crafts, or fishing tackle)
Instructions:
Grate some paraffin wax onto wax paper. Measure 1/4 teaspoon grated wax into
the plastic bag.
Add 1 teaspoon coconut oil, 1
teaspoon petroleum jelly, and 1 candy melt. Add 1/8 teaspoon oil-based candy
flavoring if you like.
Seal the bag and carefully
put it in a bowl of hot tap water to melt ingredients, about 3-5 minutes.
(Use
tap water! Never use a microwave or stove to heat the water).
Once all the ingredients are
melted, remove the bag from the water. Squish ingredients around in bag to mix;
work quickly!
Clip off a tiny corner of the
bag and squeeze gloss into the clean container. Let it set for an hour, or put
it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
There you go! Use a cotton
swab instead of your finger to apply gloss. Your lip-gloss should last a long
time. If it changes color, odor, or texture, though, throw it away.

instructions for making a holder for your cell phone .
Instructions:
You can use fun felt to make a pouch for the cell phone.
The loop
and button on the top fastens around the strap of the purse and lets the cell
phone hang just inside the purse for easy access.
Use a 3x5 card as pattern. Fold a piece of felt on half and place
the long side of the index card on the fold, cut out.
Cell phones do come in different sizes so you may have to adjust
the size of the pouch.
Cut a piece of yarn atleast a yard long.
Thread one end of the yarn
into the eye of the needle and sew overlapping stitches down one side, across
bottom, and up other side to attach the two pieces of felt together to make
your pouch.
You may want to put the same decorative stitch along both of the
edges at the top. Before you tie off your yarn, stitch the button to one of the
top corners of the pouch. Once all your stitching is done, tie both ends of the
yarn.
Separately, use the yarn annd crochet a chain of about 30
stitches, depending on needle size and how tight stitches are. At end of chain,
leave your crochet hook in the last loop and count back 6 or 7 stitches and
attach the end to the chain using a slip stitch to form a loop. You may have to
adjust the size of your loop to fit your button.
Attach the non-looped end to the corner of the pouch that you
sewed the button to. You can thread the yarn tail onto the needle and stitch
the chain onto the pouch.
You can now use your new cell phone pouch! Why not make a matcking
pouch to collect your spare change in!
