Materials Needed:

Cotton Sock

Yarn

Buttons

Pom-poms

Pipe Cleaners

Instructions:
Glue a variety of pom-poms (or cotton balls), buttons, yarn, and/or ribbon onto
the sock to make a colorful caterpillar.
Cut a pipecleaner in half
and push both of them through the toe of the sock to make antennae.
Use a marker to dry eyes and a mouth if you
want. Wear the sock on your arm to make a fun puppet.

Make
unique paintings with ice cubes.
Materials Needed:

Heavy Paper
(fingerpainting paper)

Tempera Paint
·
Ice Cube Tree
·
Toothpicks,
Drinking Straws, or Popsicle Sticks
Instructions:
Fill the ice cube tray with water and place in freezer. When it is about 1/2
way frozen, stick a toothpick into each cube.
You can also cut drinking
straws or popsicle sticks in half and put those in the ice cubes. Freeze ice
cubes completely.
Once ice cubes are completely
frozen you can paint with them by using the toothpick or straw as a handle!
Put some blobs of paint on a
piece of heavy paper (you can also used powdered tempera paint).
Make fun designs and scenes by
running an ice cube around on the paper through the paint.

Paint
a picture using an old toothbrush
Materials Needed:

Old Toothbrush

Paint

Paper
Instructions:
Simple... Use the toothbrush instead of a paintbrush to paint a picture!
Another idea... Draw pictures
of teeth on grey paper.
Using the toothbrush and
white paint, "clean" the teeth. When the paint dries, you can draw a
happy face on the teeth pictures!

Use a rubber band to transform a cardboard toilet paper roll and
tissue paper into a musical instrument.

These kazoos are very easy to make.
Get an
empty TP tube and a piece of wax paper big enough to completely cover the end
of the toilet paper roll. Secure the wax paper tightly onto the end of the
toilet paper roll with a rubber band.
With a
nail or pen, poke a small hole in the cardboard tube near the end covered with
wax paper.
To play the kazoo you hold the uncovered end of
the tube to your mouth and hum into it.
